great functionality but unusably buggy

Using this on a Macbook 15 Retina with Yosemite and Screenflow freezes on a regular basis. More often, the video display will not resemble the actual video or transitions that are playing, which makes it unusable to me. This was already the case with Screenflow 4, it seems this hasn’t been fixed. I’ve been looking at Final Cut Pro since, which works fine but is a bit fiddly and lacks a few great features that Screenflow does have (snapping to guidelines in the video display). Screenflow 5 does have great features and funcitonality, offers ease of use, but this is all worthless, since you don’t feel safe in any project. It will act weirdly in every project I do. The videos I’m editing are in the Apple Pro Res format, so this shouldn’t be the issue. I’d recommend, until this software is stable and you’re looking for a bit of video editing functionality, look another way. And, until then, 1 out of 5.
